An Epic Day

I just got back from the Writing for Charity Conference. It was absolutely amazing! There were a lot of authors there, and so many things that we got to do. I went to four different workshops, which were incredibly informative. I also got to have a part of my book critiqued by two authors. It was great. Especially when one of the authors told me she wanted to read more of my book. Best feeling ever!
The greatest part about Writing for Charity is that though it seems pretty expensive at first glance, $45 for full day, $25 for half day, I felt it was totally worth it and all the proceeds go toward helping children get books. For a lot of them, this will be the first book they have ever owned. Considering how much I LOVE books, and how much books have impacted my life, I feel that it is an amazing cause and I got so much out of it. When I get published, I'm planning on participating if I can. Until then, I plan to go every year.
